Neighbors: FiberNet adds another friendly face

FiberNet Monticello's newest employee, account manager Brett DeMarais, is geared up for the launch of the full line-up of service offerings. After several years of planning and construction, not to mention overcoming lawsuits, Monticello's city-run fiber optic internet, phone and video services will officially be complete in only a few weeks from now. Currently, DeMarais said the high speed internet is ready to go and is already being used in Monticello homes and businesses, but final details are being worked out for the launch of its phone and video services. He said the official launch date is not certain, as they need to get a few more channels signed on to the system as well as wait for weight restrictions to be taken off some residential roads so main lines can be hooked up. He said the public will be informed when FiberNet's services are all up and running, whether that be by mailing or through ads in local newspapers...
